active learning reflection

                                                       Simran Sian's Reflection

I have had a good semester. My experience this semester has been full of discovery, excitement  and a lot of hard work. In my perspective physical education is about making an effort in every activity, even if you don't like it. Learning from your weaknesses, fixing your mistakes, helping others if they are having difficulties, encouraging others, and most importantly; maintaining a positive attitude. When I think about myself I know I have achieved most of the things form this list, but I still have some to work on. My goal for next semester is to make sure I have acheived everything on this list. When I come to class I always try to maintain a positive attitude, even when we have fitness. At the beginning of this semester this was a little bit of a challenge, but I have noticed some improvement. I was also very quiet and shy at first, but now I try to interact with other students in the class. The most challenging activity I find during fitness blocks, would probably be the pond run. When we do the pond run, we have to run for 1 minute without stoping, and the other minute walking. I find this difficult because, I have a hard time running for long distances without taking a break. This is a skill I need to work on. The best fitness block I have experienced so far, would probably be, the last fitness block where we did the Insanity video workout. This is because I really pushed myself, and did every exercise full out, I also was really tired after that block. If I were to rate my performance on a scale from 1-10 during that block, I would give myself a 10. For next semester my goal is to contribute more to the class, for example: helping people when putting away equipment, instead of chatting with freinds. Overall if I were to give myself a grade I would give myself a B.
